We have been looking for a second house over the last couple of years on the east coast of Florida. We were not looking to buy immediately but rather explore our options. With the pandemic allowing many people to work from home we observed many buyers flocking to Florida which has driven the price of homes dramatically higher. As a result we felt we missed our entry point. We started to look on the gulf coast and decided to rent a house in Cape Coral for a month to get acclimated with the area. After Hurricane Ian we decided to visit the Cape Coral area as well as Palm Harbor which was an alternative location we were looking. During our visit we also wanted to visit the Venice area as we were intrigued by its beaches, restaurants and golf.
Prior to our visit to Venice I had reached out to Lisa Zambuto to see if she had any rentals for us to look at. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with her that Saturday afternoon. She took the time to educate me on the area and two of the areas we were interested in. I kept in touch with Lisa and asked her to show us around during our visit to the Venice area.
During our visit with Lisa it was clear she had a great understanding of the neighborhood, the Venice area and all that it had to offer. Over the course of 2 days we spent 8 hours with Lisa and fell in love with the area. Her deep understanding of what we were looking for allowed her to connect all the dots for us which led us to appreciate our visit that much more. On Christmas Eve at 8:01, Lisa messaged us that our offer had been verbally accepted.
During the time we were contemplating buying in Venice, Lisa was with us every step of the way. She answered all of our questions, of which there were many, was always accessible, and never once pressured us to do anything. She provided the data we looked for and shared her knowledge of the community and the rest fell into place. This was critical for us as we are not from the area and we relied on Lisa’s knowledge as well as her eyes and ears to help us navigate the buying process.
